Such peaches should be stored at room temperature, ideally in a single layer on a plate or in a tray. Keep these fruits as far away from direct sunlight as possible and not in the same container, as other peaches can damage them and spoil quickly.

Do not wash these peaches until you are ready to eat them, as the skin contains natural wax that protects them from spoiling. Wait two to four days until such peaches ripen in warm conditions. Only after that can you safely eat them.

How to Store Ripe Peaches

If you want to store ripe peaches for longer, put them in the refrigerator, as low temperatures slow down fermentation and keep the fruits fresh for a few days. However, do not store ripe peaches for too long, as they stay fresh in the cold for only three to five days.

But before eating ripe peaches a few days later, be sure to wash them to avoid poisoning.
