3 steps: what every service member must go through under the 'Contract 18-24' program.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published information about the training system for citizens who are recruited for military service under the 'Contract 18-24' project. The full training cycle lasts up to three months and consists of three stages.
According to established standards, the training of service members is conducted according to a certain structure: basic general military training (BGMT), professional training according to military accounting specialty (MAS), and adaptation course.
Basic general military training is mandatory for individuals without prior military experience and lasts 1.5 months. Training is conducted in groups of 25-30 individuals under the guidance of experienced instructors, officers, and sergeants of combat units.
Professional training is carried out according to military accounting specialty and lasts a different number of days depending on the position: for a shooter-paramedic - up to 14 days, for a grenade launcher - 14 days, for a sniper and scout - 30 days.
The last stage is the adaptation course, which includes the coordination of small tactical groups. The program was developed taking into account the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war and lasts 14 days.
The Ministry of Defense particularly emphasizes that participation in combat operations without undergoing the necessary training is absolutely prohibited. Control over the training process is carried out by the operational command daily, and military administration bodies and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may additionally monitor.
