Agrarians received 640 hectares of demined land in January.


In January, demining operators (PMD) completed the clearing of 5 plots of agricultural land contaminated by mines and unexploded artillery. The total area of the cleared plots is nearly 640 hectares, and the cost of their demining is compensated by the state in the amount of 20.6 million UAH.
PMD operators also began clearing another 16 plots of land from mines and shells, with a total area of more than 1.3 thousand hectares. The cost of this work exceeds 85.1 million UAH.
As part of the state program, agrarians received 94.7 million UAH to accounts controlled by the state during the first month of the year. This money will be used to clear 1546.3 hectares of land. Since the start of the program, the state has compensated almost 530 million UAH to agrarians who participated in the demining program.
During January, 34 new applications were submitted by agrarians wishing to participate in the program.
As of February 1, the Humanitarian Demining Center has concluded 50 agreements with PMD operators for the clearing of land with a total area of more than 9.3 thousand hectares. The total cost of this work is more than 536.5 million UAH.
