Israel carried out strong airstrikes on the surrounding areas of the Syrian capital, Damascus. This was reported by Syrian media. According to the state agency SANA, one person was killed due to the shelling. Explosions were also heard north of the capital and in the Hama province.Syrian sources report that Israeli military planes have invaded Syrian airspace over the provinces of Homs, Hama, and Latakia.
