European Swimming Championships

The European Swimming Championships for athletes under 23 years old, held for the second Time in history, have concluded in Samorin, Slovakia. This was reported by

citing the NOC of Ukraine.

This competition was also the final qualifying tournament for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships.

Ukrainian National Team's Achievements

The national team of Ukraine finished the tournament with 8 medals - 7 silver and 1 bronze:

  • Oleksandr Zheltakov became a double silver medalist - in the 100 m and 200 m backstroke.
  • Vladislav Bukhov added two silver medals to Ukraine's collection - in the 50 m freestyle and butterfly events.
  • Volodymyr Lisovets also won two silvers - in the 50 m and 100 m breaststroke.
  • Vadym Naumenko finished second in the 200 m individual medley.
  • Maxim Ovchinnikov claimed a bronze medal in the 200 m breaststroke.

European Diving Championships

From June 23 to 29, the European Diving Championships for juniors-2025 were held in Athens, Greece. A total of 176 athletes from 27 countries participated in this year's tournament.

Ukraine was represented by 13 talented athletes - 11 experienced competitors and two debutants: Veronika Andrashchuk and Nazar Konyenko.

Our team once again demonstrated the highest level of skill, perseverance, and team spirit.

The Ukrainian juniors achieved 12 medals: 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

Events in Ukraine's sports life continue to bring positive results. At this championship, young Ukrainian athletes showcased their high mastery and readiness to compete on the international stage. The athletes' results are impressive, indicating the growth of Ukrainian swimming and diving.
