The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine named the main mistake made in relations with the USA.

The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Asman shared his thoughts on Ukraine's refusal of the lend-lease program and its consequences in relations with the United States. According to the rabbi, Donald Trump has a desire to help Ukraine achieve peace, but warns against an illusion of 'peace'.
Asman emphasized that Ukraine's refusal of the lend-lease was a major mistake, as this program helped the country receive military assistance on credit from the USA, which is an important support tool for Ukraine.
"And you know, it was a big mistake – what Ukraine did by refusing the lend-lease," said the rabbi.
Emphasis on real peace
Moshe Asman confirmed that Donald Trump truly seeks peace in Ukraine. However, he stressed the importance of distinguishing between genuine peace and its illusions.
The rabbi emphasized: 'The other question is how to achieve it. Not every 'peace' leads to peace.' He mentioned the example of Israel and the Gaza Strip to illustrate the consequences of poor decisions made in the past.
Perhaps Trump is indeed doing everything possible, but it is important for Ukraine to have support during this crucial period for the country.
The statement of the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine regarding the importance of real peace and the necessity to distinguish it from illusions in the context of current relations with the USA underscores the relevance and seriousness of the issues facing Ukrainian society on the political arena.
