Group of Israeli police officers arrived in Uman.

Representatives of the Israeli police arrived in Uman to help their Ukrainian colleagues ensure the safety of pilgrims during Rosh Hashanah. According to the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, more than 30 thousand pilgrims from Israel are expected to arrive in Uman this year. He noted that the Israeli Foreign Ministry advises against traveling to Ukraine during the war.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the Hasidim to refrain from pilgrimages to Uman for Rosh Hashanah due to Russian military aggression. In case of arrival, pilgrims must take into account the restrictions of martial law and possible complications of stay.
Irina Pletnyova, Mayor of Uman, confirmed the city's readiness to accept pilgrims. She noted that proper sanitary conditions have been ensured and an action plan for emergencies has been developed. Also, since September 23, a special regime for entry, exit, and movement within the city has been in place in Uman.
