Strawberry and Oil. Activist Compared Prices in Ukraine and Germany and Came to an Unpleasant Conclusion.

Prices for strawberries and dairy products in Germany amaze Ukrainians with their affordability. Even in chain supermarkets, the prices for fresh strawberries can be much lower than in Ukraine. This sparks discussions and analyses of pricing in our country. This information was provided by the chairman of the 'Plich-o-plich' charitable foundation, Oleg Mykhailik.
Recently in Germany, the prices for strawberries were as follows: a kilogram of these berries could be purchased for €4 in supermarkets, and even cheaper at Turkish markets in Hamburg. Such affordable prices are explained by the fact that the minimum wage in Germany is around €2000, while the conditions for growing strawberries are not as favorable as in southern Ukraine.
At the same Time, in Odesa region, prices for strawberries remain high, even in the 'Silpo' supermarket chain. Thus, for 500 grams of strawberries here, one will have to spend 199 hryvnias (or about €4.25).
Analysis of the Situation
The fascination of Ukrainians with low prices for strawberries and dairy products in Germany highlights the issue of pricing and market policy in Ukraine. The situation in international markets may indicate a possible stagnation in the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
Ukrainians are surprised by the affordability of prices for strawberries and dairy products in Germany compared to high prices in Ukraine. This may point to a pricing problem and market policy in the country that needs attention and analysis.
