Changes to Border Crossing Priorities in Lviv Region - Details.


The Lviv region has temporarily changed the priority for irregular transport at some border crossing points. This concerns the crossings 'Nyzankovychy - Malchovychy' and 'Shehyni - Medyka'.

Given the increase in waiting Time for passenger buses at the international crossing for automotive communication 'Shehyni - Medyka', the Ministry of Development analyzed the statistics of border crossings for regular and irregular transport. Consequently, the agency determined that an average of 50 buses cross the border via this crossing point daily, of which 43 are regular and 7 are irregular.
According to the results of the Coordination Headquarters meeting on managing queues at international crossing points, it has been decided that crossing the border through the 'Shehyni - Medyka' crossing will be available exclusively for regular passenger transport. Irregular passenger transport will be redirected through the 'Nyzankovychy - Malchovychy' crossing.
'Since July 10, employees of the State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine have been taking measures on access roads to redirect the movement of irregular transport buses to the 'Nyzankovychy - Malchovychy' crossing,' said the director of the road economy department, Orest Shulikovskyi.
Queues were recorded at the border of Ukraine with four countries on Sunday, July 13. Additionally, starting July 13, another crossing point has been opened at the border with Romania for passenger buses.

In connection with the increasing waiting time for passenger buses at the international crossing for automotive communication 'Shehyni - Medyka', it has been decided to change priorities and redirect irregular transport. Thus, only regular passenger transport is now permitted through the 'Shehyni - Medyka' crossing, while irregular transport is redirected to the 'Nyzankovychy - Malchovychy' crossing.
