The last Ukrainian finished the competition at the Olympics in Paris.


The Olympic Games in Paris are ending today. Ukraine was represented on the last day of the competition by wrestler Murazi Mchedlidze. He defeated the athlete from South Africa with a score of 4:2.
After this victory, Murazi got a chance to compete for a bronze medal. But in the next match, he lost to the representative of Azerbaijan with a score of 10:0. Thus, Mchedlidze took the fifth place at the Olympics. This is the best result for Ukrainian freestyle wrestlers since 2016, and it has been 12 years since men's freestyle wrestling brought medals to Ukraine at the Olympic Games.
The closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games will take place today. These Games are held in Paris and other cities of France, as well as in Tahiti. They will see the debut of breakdancing as an Olympic sport, and they became the last ones under the leadership of Thomas Bach.
The 2024 Games are the first with an equal number of athletes among men and women. The cost of the Games will be 8.3 billion euros. The opening ceremony of these Games was held outside the stadium, which was the second Time in history. The director of the ceremonies was Thomas Jolly.
