Vegetables, fruits, meat, milk, cereals, bread: how food prices might change in the fall.

Ukrainians eagerly await the fall due to the possibility of rising food prices. Increased fuel excise taxes and electricity issues may affect prices. There is also a forecasted threat of bread shortages and price increases for coffee and chocolate.
The summer of 2024 was hot, prompting producers and stores to review prices due to power outages. However, unlike previous years, this season watermelons were the cheapest they have been in the last 3 years - from 9 UAH/kg.
Vegetables and fruits are available, but their prices vary. Cabbage has significantly increased in price, but zucchini and eggplants can be purchased at different prices in stores and markets. Cucumbers also vary in quality, but tomatoes are quite affordable.
Meat prices remain high, and dairy prices are also rising. Sugar and oil have become more expensive, with changes in prices for grains and bakery products as well.
It is forecasted that food prices will change in winter. Entrepreneurs warn of possible price increases of 20-30%. However, there are no exact forecasts yet. The National Bank predicts moderate inflation at the level of 8.2% by the end of 2024.
