The British are particularly interested in old bunkers built during the Cold War. These shelters, known as 'turtle shells', are being sold online for very high prices, around 10 thousand pounds sterling. There are also companies ready to build new bunkers on demand. The government of Great Britain is also providing protection for the population.

The bunkers come with all necessary communications, including a toilet and a living room. Prices for such structures have increased significantly in recent years, and some modernized bunkers are even being sold at auctions. History enthusiasts are also purchasing shelters to preserve Britain’s heritage.

In the first six months of the war in Ukraine, a company specializing in creating bunkers received over 3,300 inquiries from local residents. The cost of self-building a bunker is at least 84 thousand pounds sterling.

A unique residential shelter has been sold

A unique residential facility that was previously used as a bunker has been sold at auction in England. This shelter, built in the 1950s to protect the employees of the observation corps, has no toilet but can be used for living.
