Polish Railway Changes Conditions for Receiving 30% Discount on Tickets.

Polish railway company PKP Intercity has made changes to its popular 'Taniej z Bliskimi' promotion, which allowed passengers to receive a 30% discount on group tickets.
According to the new rules, to take advantage of the 30% discount, passengers are encouraged to purchase tickets no later than 7 days before the planned trip. Previously, this was possible 3 days before the travel date. The purchase period for tickets under the promotion remains unchanged - no earlier than 30 days before the trip.
This change is part of the gradual evolution of the 'Taniej z Bliskimi' promotion. Initially, discount tickets were available even a day before departure, then this period was increased to three days, and now to seven.
The conditions of the 'Taniej z Bliskimi' promotion remain the same: the discount can be used by groups of two to six people traveling on the same train, in the same direction, in a carriage of the same class, and on the same day. Group members do not necessarily have to be from the same family.
PKP Intercity explains these changes as necessary to improve the punctuality of train movements. The previous group ticket booking system under the 'Taniej z Bliskimi' promotion caused unpredictable peaks in demand, which negatively affected the schedule.
