Former MP of the Party of Regions Mykola Zhuk has died.


Mykola Zhuk, a Ukrainian people's deputy of the VII convocation, died at the age of 45 due to a serious illness. This was reported by the website 'Glavkom' with reference to the Telegram channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the people's deputies of Ukraine express their condolences on the death of the people's deputy of Ukraine of the VII convocation, Mykola Zhuk. He died after a long illness, the message states.
Details regarding the cause of death of the former deputy are not specified.
Mykola Zhuk was born on November 26, 1979, in the village of Lepetykha, Mykolaiv region. He was a deputy of the Mykolaiv regional council from 2006 to 2010, as well as the deputy head of the Mykolaiv regional organization of the 'Party of Regions'.
In 2010, Zhuk was elected to the Mykolaiv regional council from the Berezneguvatka district. He also headed the 'Party of Regions' faction in the Mykolaiv regional council.
In 2012, Zhuk was elected a people's deputy from the 'Party of Regions' in a single-member majoritarian electoral district No. 129, Mykolaiv region. He received 48.04% of the voters' support.
Mykola Zhuk served as a people's deputy until November 27, 2014.
Additionally, people's deputy and member of the parliamentary group 'Restoration of Ukraine' Volodymyr Moroz has died at the age of 57.
From 2014 to 2019, Moroz headed the Marinka District State Administration of the Donetsk region. He was also the head of the district branch of the political organization 'Bloc of Petro Poroshenko' Solidarity.
In 2019, Moroz was elected a people's deputy of Ukraine from the electoral district No. 59, Donetsk region, as a candidate from the 'Opposition Platform – For Life' party.
