Progress on Ceasefire: Rubio, Macron, von der Leyen, Starmer, and Tusk Speak on Prospects.

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, called for the development of a 'plan to define reliable security guarantees' for Ukraine after the end of the war. He made this call during a meeting with chiefs of staff in Paris on March 11, which was attended by around thirty countries. Macron stressed the need for practical planning of security guarantees to enable a strong and lasting peace in Ukraine. Participants in the meeting agreed that security guarantees should not be separated from NATO and its capabilities. The French President had previously announced a meeting of chiefs of staff from the 'coalition of the resolute' regarding Ukraine, where a joint proposal was presented to create a 'coalition of the willing' for a potential peaceful resolution of the conflict.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and Russia, stating that it could be a step towards comprehensive, just, and lasting peace for Ukraine.
The agreement was also welcomed by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that thanks to the leadership of Donald Trump and the support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, peace in Ukraine has become much closer. Now it depends on Russia what happens next.
