Russia threatens to stop IAEA experts' work at Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia stated that Russia may cease the work of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at its discretion. Currently, IAEA experts are at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) only with the permission of the Russian government and only as long as Russia deems their presence necessary. The task of the specialists is to record provocations from Ukraine, reported Russian diplomats.
This reaction from Moscow came in response to the statement by IAEA Secretary General Rafael Grossi about a possible freezing of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry did not accept Grossi's words, who stated that IAEA representatives would gather at the nuclear power plant before a possible freeze of the armed confrontation.
The Russian Foreign Ministry does not understand how the head of the IAEA came to the conclusion about a probable freeze that exceeds his authority.
Zaporizhzhia NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. It was occupied by Russian troops in early March 2022.
