Russia has blocked one of the popular messengers.

The Roskomnadzor has banned access to Viber in Russia
The Roskomnadzor has banned access to the popular messenger Viber in Russia, citing violations of legislation. In an official statement, the federal service notes that the restrictions are being introduced due to the provision of necessary security measures by the service and to prevent the use of the messenger for terrorist and extremist purposes.
Restrictions on access to Signal and YouTube
Earlier, the Roskomnadzor banned access to the Signal messenger, and users complained about issues with its performance. The Russian authorities also restricted access to the video hosting service YouTube, reducing its loading speed to a blocking level. This decision was condemned, and a representative of YouTube stated that everything works normally on their side.
Reduced loading speed of YouTube in Russia
In July, the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy warned that the loading speed of YouTube on stationary computers in Russia could decrease by 70%.
