Shmyhal named two 'problematic cities' of the heating season.


The government supports the affected infrastructure
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved special criteria for restructuring debts for heating and water supply companies located in areas of active hostilities. This decision is intended to support critical infrastructure during martial law.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the new government decision includes a mechanism for financial assistance to companies that have been affected by enemy actions and have damaged or destroyed infrastructure.
The main goal of this step is to reduce the debt pressure on utility services and ensure stable heating supply in frontline areas.
Currently, the heating supply situation has a positive dynamic, as almost all socially important facilities, such as housing, medical institutions, schools, and kindergartens, are connected to heating networks.
However, problematic regions are Kherson, which is constantly subjected to enemy shelling, and the city of Kryvyi Rih, where restoration work on the infrastructure is ongoing.
