Supercomputer names new favorite for the Champions League.


After the first semi-final match of the Champions League between 'PSG' and 'Arsenal', the Opta supercomputer updated its predictions regarding the tournament winner. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
According to Opta, the main favorite to win is 'Paris Saint-Germain'. The supercomputer assesses the chances of the French club to win the tournament at 38.2%.
The ranking of favorites for the Champions League victory according to Opta:
- 'Paris Saint-Germain' - 38.2%.
- 'Barcelona' - 28.7%.
- 'Inter' - 18.1%.
- 'Arsenal' - 15%.
Recall that the first semi-final match of the UEFA Champions League season 2024/25 between London 'Arsenal' and Paris 'Paris Saint-Germain' took place on April 29 at the 'Emirates' stadium in London.
In this match, 'Arsenal' lost to 'PSG' with a score of 0:1.
After an early conceded goal, 'Arsenal' tried to seize the initiative, and in the second half, Mikel Merino even scored a goal, which, however, was canceled due to offside after a VAR review.
PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved his team several times, particularly after shots from Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
The return match will take place on May 7 at 'Parc des Princes' in Paris. 'Arsenal' must win to reach the final, which will be held on May 31 at the 'Allianz Arena' in Munich.
As reported, Madrid's 'Real' is interested in the 26-year-old midfielder of 'Liverpool', Alexis Mac Allister.
According to the source, the Merseysiders are ready to let the Argentine player go if a proposal of 100 million euros comes in. It is emphasized that 'Real' highly values Mac Allister's playing qualities, but considers the stated sum to be excessive.
This season, Mac Allister has participated in 47 matches across all competitions, in which he scored seven goals and provided five assists.
The player's contract with 'Liverpool' is valid until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt estimates the player's value at 90 million euros.
