SZR provided new recommendations on returning to Ukraine from occupied territories and the Russian Federation.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine reports changes in the possibilities of leaving the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) and Russia to Ukraine. According to the information published on the official website of the agency on August 16, 2024, the checkpoint "Kolotylivka – Pokrovka" on the border with Russia is closed for an indefinite period due to the complex situation caused by Russian aggression.
For Ukrainian citizens who have a foreign passport and wish to return to the controlled territory, it is recommended to choose routes through Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, or Turkey. The Foreign Intelligence Service warns that Ukrainians may face filtration measures from the Russian authorities.
Regarding the return through the territory of Belarus, which supports Russian aggression, Ukrainians should also be prepared for filtration measures. Intelligence emphasizes the existence of certain risks for Ukrainians in Belarus.
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine emphasizes that safety should be a priority when choosing a return route. It is recommended to use only reliable routes that minimize the risks of violating the rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens.
