The Economist: How US Allies Prepare for Changes in Foreign Policy After Trump's Victory.

The Economist reports that world leaders are preparing for possible changes in US foreign policy after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential elections. Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to gain favor from the new US president to end the war in Ukraine. European allies are also preparing for possible changes by developing mechanisms to aid Ukraine and strengthening their own defense capabilities without American support.
French President Emmanuel Macron expresses support for Ukraine and does not rule out the use of military force. In Trump's team, there are three groups advocating different approaches to US global leadership. Republican Congressman Mike Waltz suggests using the military option against Iran. Trump has also stated the possible use of force against China.
The Economist warns that Trump's return to power occurs at a dangerous moment of rising rivalry and active wars, which could lead to the destruction of the post-war order.
