Trump has begun a trade war with Canada, Mexico, and China: countries 'struck' back.

The US imposes additional tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China
US President Donald Trump decided to impose additional tariffs on imports of goods from Canada, Mexico, and China due to 'the threat posed by illegal immigrants and drugs.'
The tariffs for China will be 10%, while for Canada and Mexico - 25%. For energy resources from Canada - 10%.
'We must protect Americans, and my duty as president is to ensure the safety of all,' Trump said.
However, about 20-25% of the US oil refining industry uses oil from Canada, and 70% of Canada's exports go to the US. Also, about 64% of imported vegetables and fruits in the US come from Mexico.
According to the introduced tariffs, Canada will implement a 25% tariff on goods from the US worth over $107 billion, starting from February 4. Other tariffs will be introduced later.
China expressed 'deep disappointment' over Trump's actions and will file a complaint with the World Trade Organization.
Thus, the US imposes additional tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China, which provoked a corresponding reaction from these countries.
