Explosion in Kherson region resulted in the death of an 8-year-old boy
In the village of Kalynivske in the Kherson region, an explosion occurred in a private house, resulting in the death of an 8-year-old boy. Five others were injured, including two children. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the explosion occurred due to the careless handling of ammunition by adults.
Two women aged 36 and 37 were injured. One of them is in acute stress reaction, while the other has various injuries and shrapnel wounds. An 8-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, and a man born in 1989 also sustained injuries from the explosion. All the injured were taken to the hospital.
Other explosion incidents in Kherson region
In another case in the southern region, a man was injured due to an explosive item in a forest belt, while closer to Beryslav, a person died as a result of the detonation of an ammunition. Both cases are consequences of careless handling of explosive substances.
Such incidents once again remind us of the necessity to adhere to all safety measures when handling ammunition and explosive materials, which can lead to tragic consequences.
