In China, a death sentence has been carried out against a woman named Yu Huayin, who from 1993 to 2003 kidnapped 17 children from the provinces of Guizhou and Yunnan and sold them in Hebei province. She was sentenced to death after the verdict was announced in September 2023, and she appealed twice, but unsuccessfully.
In addition to the death penalty, Yu Huayin was deprived of political rights and her property was confiscated.
It should be noted that in China, the woman also committed a heinous crime when she tortured her fiancé with electric shocks for three hours. The investigation found that she did this so he could feel pain similar to childbirth.
