The first Child Rights Protection Center in Ukraine has been opened in Rivne.

A regional Child Rights Protection Center has been opened in Rivne
On March 20, the first regional Child Rights Protection Center was opened in Ukraine in Rivne. This center will provide psychological, legal, and social assistance to children. Special attention will be given to children affected by the war in Ukraine and children whose parents are soldiers, missing, or captured. The center will also assist children who have been victims of crimes. Employees of the Ukrainian Ombudsman Office in the Rivne region will work at this center. The representative of the Ombudsman in the Rivne region, Oleksandr Korniychuk, stated that all appeals would be considered and assistance would be provided to all children in difficult circumstances.
The center will also develop mechanisms for the return of Ukrainian children who have been deported to Russia or relocated to occupied territories. If such children arrive in Rivne region, the center will provide them with the necessary assistance. The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, also confirmed this information.
The ambassador of Korea to Ukraine, Pak Kichang, attended the center's opening. The financing of the Child Rights Protection Center in Rivne was carried out by the Korea International Cooperation Agency. Representatives of the Ukrainian Ombudsman Office also reported that a similar center is planned to be opened in the city of Dnipro, as it has the largest population and the most cases of child rights violations.
According to the Ombudsman's report by Dmytro Lubinets, about 600,000 children live in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Of these, only 7% receive education in Ukrainian. Many of them have to learn in two different educational systems.
It was previously reported that the Russians have begun to liquidate schools in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, and the buildings will be transferred to the Russian Armed Forces.
