Ukraine Could Have Destroyed Dozens of Russian Su-34s, But the USA Didn't Allow It, - Forbes.


According to Forbes, Ukraine was unable to use American weapons to strike Russian aviation due to the USA's refusal to grant permission.
Analysts report that dozens of Russian Su-34 bombers, which play a crucial role in massive attacks on Ukrainian cities, are located at the Voronezh-Malshevo airbase. The Ukrainian side requested the USA to allow a strike on this base with ATACMS missiles, but the Biden administration refused, citing the risk of conflict escalation.
The Russian command, in turn, relocated most of the aircraft abroad, making it more difficult for Ukraine to hit them. The missed opportunity could have significantly affected the course of hostilities.
According to NYT, the USA also thwarted a Ukrainian special operation on Russian territory.
