Ukraine has launched bilateral meetings with the EU on the free movement of goods.


Meetings between representatives of Ukraine and the European Commission have begun in Brussels as part of the screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law regarding the free movement of goods. This is part of the process of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vitaliy Kindraty and Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka are speaking at these meetings. The chief negotiator, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanishina is also speaking online.
Olha Stefanishina confirmed that Ukraine has a priority for rapid integration into the EU and fulfilling its obligations. She also stated that Ukraine has already made significant progress in harmonizing its legislation with the EU regarding the free movement of goods.
Screening meetings will last until March 6. The Ukrainian delegation will present reports on various issues, including the free movement of products, technical regulation, standardization, market surveillance, and others.
