Ukrainians were explained how to cut electricity bills by a third and help the energy system.

In connection with the increased load on Ukraine's energy system due to aggressive actions by Russia, the government and energy specialists are urging Ukrainians to use electricity rationally. The simplified implementation of energy-saving habits can help reduce electricity consumption by 20-30% and ease the strain on the energy system. Moreover, it will allow citizens to save money on utility bills.
'Energy-saving use of electricity is not a temporary measure, but a necessity that makes us stronger!' - emphasize energy sector specialists.
Recommendations for rational electricity use include turning off lights when leaving a room, completely disconnecting electrical appliances when they are not in use, and avoiding simultaneous use of powerful appliances during peak loads.
To reduce the strain on the energy system, it is recommended to shift energy-intensive tasks to daytime and nighttime or weekends, use energy-efficient operating modes for appliances, and turn off unused devices. Rational electricity use is crucial for the normal operation of essential infrastructure facilities, such as hospitals, transportation, water supply, and heating. Every citizen can help maintain the resilience of the country's energy system through their actions.
Earlier, Ukrenergo identified 'greedy' electrical appliances and provided recommendations for reducing load and electricity costs.
