Pension Cuts and New Rules: Who Among Ukrainians Will Keep More Money.

The Ministry of Social Policy has presented a new draft law regarding pensions for military personnel and civil servants, aiming to 'restore justice' in payments to these categories of citizens. However, expert Serhiy Korobkin stated that this draft is nothing more than a grand fiction and an attempt to deceive the Constitutional Court.
The draft law is an attempt to 'deceive the Constitutional Court, or rather to circumvent and ignore the decisions it has already made in favor of pensioners.'
According to this draft law, pensions for military personnel will be indexed, but there will not be a full recalculation, which is important according to the legislation. For civil servants, the scheme is similar - they are promised recalculation, but in reality, there will only be indexing.
Serhiy Korobkin believes that the draft law seeks to create an 'artificial division' between military personnel and civil servants, avoiding real problems with the recalculation of pensions taking into account changes in salaries.
Although there may be positive aspects in the draft law regarding deductions from pensions, the expert notes that this could significantly worsen the material situation of pensioners, disregarding their real needs.
