A locomotive depot caught fire in the Irkutsk region (video).


In the evening of May 30, a large fire broke out at the locomotive depot in the city of Tayga, Irkutsk region. This information was disclosed by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, reports 'Glavkom'.
The flames engulfed the roof of the building, which appears to be seriously damaged. The fire continues to spread along the roof, and the total area of the fire is 2000 m².
Sixteen rescuers, seven units of special equipment, and a fire train are involved in extinguishing the fire. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no casualties, and the fire has been localized.
According to available information, the locomotive depot in Tayga is one of the oldest enterprises in the region, playing a significant role in the development of railway transport in Siberia.
Fire at the 'Avangard' plant in St. Petersburg
On May 29, a fire broke out at the 'Avangard' plant in St. Petersburg, which is engaged in the production of radio electronics and microchips. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire occurred on the fifth floor of a six-story production building.
The area of the fire was 100 square meters, but the fire has already been localized, and the elimination of the fire continues. The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
It is noted that the 'Avangard' plant is one of the oldest in the city and specializes in the production of electronics, including sensors, power electronics, and elevator equipment.
