In Ukraine, over 3.6 thousand couples got married in a week: where the most weddings took place.


During the past week, more than 3600 weddings took place in Ukraine. The leader in the number of marriages was Kyiv with its 834 couples. The second place belongs to Dnipropetrovsk region with 315 weddings, followed by Odesa, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions.

No data is available on the number of weddings in Luhansk region, Crimea, and Sevastopol. Interestingly, last week saw 924 fewer marriages than this week. The most couples chose Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv.
In total, throughout 2024, Ukraine registered 150,210 marriages, which is 19% less than in the previous year. The decrease compared to the beginning of the war is 30%. Regarding prenuptial agreements, over 2,700 were concluded. This is 7% more than in 2023, but less than before the war.

Overall, the number of marriages in the country decreased compared to the previous year due to the overall troubling context of the war; however, the number of prenuptial agreements slightly increased, indicating a strengthening of legal awareness among spouses.
