Vinnytsia bids farewell to legendary 101-year-old scout (photo).


In Vinnytsia, they celebrated the memory of WWII veteran Olga Tverdokhlebova
Today, March 26, a memorial service and honorary burial took place for the esteemed WWII veteran, retired colonel and scout Olga Tverdokhlebova. She passed away on March 24 at the age of 101. Local publication '33 Channel' reported this, citing 'Glavkom'.
The meeting was attended by military personnel, police, government representatives and members of numerous public and veterans' organizations.
The burial took place with military honors, accompanied by the salute of an honor guard and the national anthem of Ukraine at the cemetery on Ivan Bohun Street near the memorial light of her husband Kim Tverdokhlebov.
It is reminded that on March 24, WWII veteran, retired colonel and scout Olga Tverdokhlebova passed away at the age of 101.
Olga Tverdokhlebova went through the entire WWII and was a scout in the radio intelligence division. To get to the front, she changed her documents to make herself two years older. She was also present at the meeting of the victors in Berlin and signed her name on the Brandenburg Gate.
