The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported an update on the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of October 21, 2024.
Russia's losses in the war on October 21, 2024
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost as of October 21 in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel - approximately 680,230 people,
- tanks - 9,071 units,
- armored fighting vehicles - 18,175 units,
- artillery systems - 19,589 units,
- MLRS - 1,232 units,
- air defense systems - 979 units,
- aircraft - 369 units,
- helicopters - 329 units,
- operational-tactical level UAVs - 17,333,
- cruise missiles - 2,624,
- ships / boats - 28 units,
- submarines - 1 unit,
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 27,034 units,
- special equipment - 3,479.
Occupant fleet activity as of October 21:
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship;
- No enemy ships in the Sea of Azov;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, three enemy ships, all of which are carriers of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 28 missiles.
During the day, through the Kerch Strait in the interests of the Russian Federation, the following passed:
- to the Black Sea - seven vessels, none of which continued towards the Bosphorus;
- to the Sea of Azov - seven vessels, one of which came from the Bosphorus.
It is already the 971st day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
It should be noted that Russian troops are advancing towards Pokrovsk with the aim of capturing a coal mine necessary for the production of coke. The mine is of great importance for the Ukrainian metallurgical industry.
