Prices for vegetables increased in December
The cost of vegetables in Ukraine continues to rise, especially for cucumbers and tomatoes. According to the Minfin portal, the prices for these vegetables have become even more unaffordable for many buyers. Prices continue to increase even in December. Here are some examples of prices for cucumbers and tomatoes as of December 4.
The cost of cucumbers and tomatoes in Ukraine has already become unattainable for many buyers.
The price of red tomatoes rose from 105.29 UAH/kg to 126.70 UAH/kg. The highest price is 153.90 UAH/kg at MegaMarket, and the lowest is 104.00 UAH/kg at Novus. Pink tomatoes increased in price from 104.62 UAH/kg to 110.50 UAH/kg, while plum tomatoes jumped from 118.16 UAH/kg to 161.95 UAH/kg.
The price of cucumbers also rose from 115.12 UAH/kg to 139.90 UAH/kg. Smooth cucumbers cost 161.90 UAH/kg, long-fruited ones - 169.00 UAH/kg, and prickly ones - 146.90 UAH/kg.
Thus, the prices for vegetables continue to rise in Ukraine, making them unattainable for many buyers.
