Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Released After Four Days Detention in France: What's Next.

Telegram founder, Pavel Durov, was released from custody after being detained in Paris. He was arrested due to insufficient moderation of content in the messenger, which is used by almost a billion users worldwide. Durov was brought to court for questioning to review the pressing of charges.
If the court decides to press charges against Durov, he may face travel restrictions or have to post bail. The process is conducted behind closed doors.
The investigation and subsequent criminal process could last for several months or years. Durov has the opportunity to contest the charges with the help of a legal team.
The investigation has brought 12 charges against Durov, including storing pornographic content with minors and transporting narcotic substances.
After Durov's arrest, the Telegram company announced its readiness to implement content moderation in accordance with EU law.
DSA, the new EU regulation, cannot lead to criminal prosecution or arrest, but this is a French investigation, unrelated to the EU.
