In Donetsk region, Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian Grad multiple launch system loaded with chemical shells. This information was published by the K-2 military unit on Facebook, reports 'Glavkom'.
The attack on the Russian installation was successful thanks to the pilots of three defense force units, who conducted the operation just as the Grad was preparing to fire.
“In radio transmissions, the Russians called on each other to hide and put on gas masks, as the damaged 'Grad' was loaded with 'chemicals'”, – the message states.
The military warns of the threat of chemical weapons from Russian troops, although Russia is obliged by international agreements not to use them. Intelligence has confirmed the existence of significant stockpiles of chemical weapons in Russian depots.
