Alternatives to University: Where to Apply if You Did Not Pass the NMT-2025.

In 2025, all applicants, except those with benefits, will only be able to apply to higher educational institutions after passing the external independent assessment in four subjects. The results of the NMT from the previous three years will also be taken into account.
Alternative Paths for Applicants
If a student does not score the required number of points in one of the NMT/ZNO subjects, there are several alternative paths for admission:
Path 1. Admission to Colleges
Those who did not pass the NMT can enter colleges and obtain a degree of 'junior bachelor' in three years or even less.
To enter a college, applicants need to pass a creative competition or an interview. There is also an opportunity to apply only based on the results of a motivational letter for those who choose the contract form of education.
Applications to colleges will be accepted from July 5 to July 26, but there will also be a chance to submit documents for contracts until October 20.
Path 2. Admission to Vocational Schools
Without the results of the NMT, one can enter vocational and technical educational institutions and obtain their first profession in a short Time. Each vocational school has its own selection system based on the results of the certificate.
Path 3. Gap Year
A gap year is a year between finishing school and starting university education. This time can be used for rest, travel, volunteering, or preparing for future admission.
Gap year programs can last from six months to a whole year and may include travel, study abroad, or preparation for entrance exams. This helps to clarify future plans and transition more easily from one type of education to another.
In 2025, admission to university will only be possible with results from four NMT subjects, but there are several alternative options for applicants without such results, such as admission to colleges, vocational education institutions, or a gap year.
