Americans are mass fleeing to Britain after Trump's reelection.

The demand for British citizenship from Americans has reached a record level
At the beginning of 2025, the number of US citizens wishing to obtain British citizenship reached an unprecedented level. This is attributed to the return of Donald Trump to power. According to the Financial Times, applications for British citizenship from Americans in the first quarter of 2025 exceeded 1900 people, which is 12% more than at the end of the previous year.
Experts point out that the instability in US politics has led to a growing interest in British visas and citizenship. This became particularly noticeable after Trump's new tariff policy, which provoked serious outrage in the business community.
“People are leaving the US due to fear, disappointment, and concern for their own safety,” reveals the situation the director of the legal firm Immigration Advice Service Ono Okereke.
There has also been an increase in requests from Americans for study visas in the UK, particularly for undergraduate programs. This happened after Trump’s attacks on leading American universities and criticism of their safety for students of Jewish descent.
According to a Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey, 59% of American voters believe that Trump was not strict enough in relations with Russian President Putin and the Russians.
Analysis
In recent years, there has been a growing interest among Americans in moving to Britain due to political instability in the US, which indicates significant dissatisfaction with Trump's actions among the citizens of the country. This process is also reflected in obtaining citizenship and studying at foreign universities.
