EU develops Plan B in case Trump wins, - The Telegraph.

European countries are preparing for a possible "love triangle" with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, should Trump return to the position of US president. According to information from The Telegraph, European states are developing plans for such a situation.
Sources close to European diplomats note that a "love triangle" with Putin would be a difficult situation for the West. European countries are wary of their union splitting due to disagreements with the US president and the Russian leader.
It is very unpleasant to think that the West would find itself in a "love triangle" situation with Putin if Trump becomes president. If he returns, popcorn sales in Moscow and Beijing will soar to the heavens. All they need to do is sit back and watch the West tear itself apart with internal contradictions.
In the "Trump 2.0" plans, the details are currently unclear; however, they include the possibility of supporting Ukraine if the US withdraws assistance. One of the main issues for European leaders is the supply of weapons to Ukraine in case supplies from the US stop.
Concerns are also raised by Trump's statements regarding a possible deal between Kyiv and Moscow to end the war in Ukraine by ceding part of the territories to Russia. European governments fear that such an agreement would benefit Russia and threaten the region's security.
There is also an account of the possibility of Western intelligence data infiltrating Russia through Trump. Former CIA head Leon Panetta warned of such a danger.
Trump's threats regarding the Alliance have also heightened concerns in Europe. Trump threatened to allow Russia to attack NATO member countries that do not meet compulsory financial contributions. Therefore, the EU must find ways to ensure its own security without relying on the US.
According to The New York Times, Putin tried to create a negative impression of Ukraine in Trump. According to The Washington Post, Putin and Trump communicated at least seven times after Trump left the presidential office. There is also information that Trump sent COVID-19 tests to Russia for Putin's personal use.
