The National Council Expects Complete Blocking of Telegram in Ukraine.

The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine expressed hope for the complete blocking of the Telegram messenger in the country.
The National Council noted that more than a year ago they began talking about the dangers of this messenger, which is popular among Ukrainians. To protect official information, the department introduced a ban on the use of Telegram on official devices and established a special procedure for accessing it.
"On devices where official information is created, processed, and stored, Telegram cannot be present either as an app or in the web version," the National Council emphasized.
Despite this, the department is creating a separate network to analyze media activity content on Telegram. This is related to the need to fulfill the functions of a media regulator.
The National Council expressed hope that the current counteraction to the risks associated with the use of Telegram by state bodies is temporary. "Soon Telegram will be completely blocked in Ukraine, as at one Time Odnoklassniki, VKontakte, and all services of Yandex and Mail.ru companies were blocked," the department added.
It is worth noting that on September 20, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center decided to restrict the use of Telegram in government bodies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities due to threats to national security. However, as clarified by the NSDC, this decision does not apply to official channels.
