On December 18, the mayor appealed to the police and SBU and filed a complaint.
'In my opinion, the words of that woman contain signs of criminal liability. It is not only about using the Russian language but also about disrespecting the Ukrainian state and glorifying Moscow leaders. This woman must be held accountable, if not for treason against Ukraine, then for calls to overthrow the constitutional order,' the mayor wrote on Facebook.
The police in the Zakarpattia region detained a 50-year-old woman and established that she had not paid for her fare and began to insult the controller.
'Last year, she was already on the police radar. At that Time, she was assigned compulsory medical measures by a court ruling,' law enforcement officers reported.
The police continue to investigate this incident on the Ivano-Frankivsk bus.
Recall that the broadcast of the biathlon competitions, commented on in Russian by the coach of the Ukrainian national team, Nadia Belova, outraged many Ukrainians who called on the ombudsman to respond to this violation.
