Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi stated that Ukrainian needs for the implementation of the assistance program are estimated at 23 million euros. He expressed gratitude to 30 donor countries and the European Union for their unwavering support. Additionally, Grossi noted that the IAEA provided assistance in nuclear safety and medical equipment, and also plans to assist in the restoration of the Kakhovka dam and ensure the safety of radioactive sources located in Ukraine. He also noted that IAEA experts continue to work at nuclear power plants in Ukraine, and the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP remains unstable and increases the risk of a nuclear accident.
